An investment in Scouting is an investment in America’s future. Your support of Scouting will provide character development, citizenship training and leadership skills to the youth in your community.
Great Rivers Council Heritage Society recognizes those who want to preserve the tradition and values of Scouting for generations to come. The Heritage Society is a program for those who desire to include Scouting in their estate planning or make gifts to the council’s endowment fund. Gifts may be for general use or restricted for special purposes or programs.
James E. West Fellowship
The James E. West Fellowship is a national recognition for individuals who contribute $1,000 or more in cash or securities to our Council’s endowment fund. This contribution should be in addition to your annual Friends of Scouting gift, as annual operations is always the priority. Organization or individuals may also contribute in honor of someone.
The award is presented to the honoree with a certificate, a lapel pin and a uniform square knot.
Second Century Society
Membership in the Second Century Society is available to donors who give $25,000 or more payable over five years, or a deferred gift of $100,000 or more, to a local council, BSA Foundation, high-adventure base, or any BSA entity for operating, capital, or endowment.
Donors making outright gifts of $100,000 or more are designated as “Members with Distinction.” Donors making deferred gifts of $500,000 or more are designated as “Legacy Members.” Members in these categories receive special recognition and opportunities provided by the BSA Foundation.
Memorial Tribute Fund
The Memorial Tribute Fund allows donors to honor someone on a birthday, special occasion, anniversary or in memory of someone. These gifts remain in perpetuity to ensure that Scouting is available for the youth of our future generations. Donations to the Memorial Tribute Fund become part of the endowment fund and are tax deductible.
